felt strawberry tutorial

IMG_5972
April was so hot and beautiful here but May has been cold and wet. This weekend we are expecting some nice weather and I hope we are going to manage our first barbecue this year. To celebrate the beginning of summer, here is a free pattern/tutorial for making plump felt strawberries.

The powerpoint version::
Download microsoft_powerpoint_felt_strawberry_tutorial.pdf

The word version (for those who like to have a hard copy i.e.me)::
Download microsoft_word_strawberry_tutorial_word.pdf

This is my first attempt at a pdf file and I have a few more in the works so I'd love some feedback on how this one works/looks.

Supplies for the felt strawberries::
felt :: eco wool stuffing :: organic wool stuffing for the very rich

These beautiful bowls were part of my mother's day gift and I love them! They are very small about 4.5" wide by 2.5" tall and are by Nicholas Mosse. I think they are perfect little summer ice cream or snack bowls and we have used them a ton already and I am pleased to say they compliment my Bridgewater very nicely. Lucky ol' me!

Thanks! What a lovely casual centerpiece a bowl of them will make!

I love your strawberries! They are adorable.

Sweet strawberries!

I love those bowls. Really love them.

Very lucky you!!! I bought some Nicholas Mosse in Ireland after reading the book "The Pipes Are Calling" by Christine Breen. Great book about an American couple relocating to a very small town in Ireland. Although with small children, for a few years I think my house will be more Cram Cream (reprodepot.com) than Mosse...

my mom has the nicholas mosse farm animals...it is wonderful pottery. enjoy yours and thanks for the tutorial!

such a wonderful tutorial! the pictures are gorgeous, the directions are clear and the produce is so cute:)

The strawberries look good enough to eat! And the tutorial downloaded beautifully- bravo!

Oh my goodness, these are so cute. I am looking for a project to do while we are vacationing at a lake in a couple of weeks. This might be just the thing!

I love strawberries! I love the way your felt ones look - reminiscent of the litle emery strawberries on old fashioned pinushions. The ones I make are red velvet with beading. They are based on a Tuscarora Indian pattern.

Such lovely strawberries!

the strawberries are just so real looking...I actually had to look closer after I read that they were felt.

Thanks for sharing the tutorial.

these are soooo adorable! i love them!

Hi,

Wow, those strawberries are yummy looking. Years ago my grandma and I made some of them for her church bazaar.

How did you learn about doing a pdf, please post a message so others can enjoy the fun.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you so much for this pattern was looking for one.I love working with felt and just bought some i hope to make one later thank you so much!

I totally loved these berries, and made a bunch myself! I mixed it up a bit using not only red felt, but two subtly printed red fabrics. :) Your blog is addicting, and makes me want to spend more time with crafts!!
